Richard Stieg, M.D.
Pain Medicine Physician/Neurologist/Addictionologist
Dr. Stieg is one of the founders of the field of Pain Medicine. As a Founding Member and Past President of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and Past President of the Colorado Society of Clinical Neurologists and the Western USA Pain Society he has been instrumental in defining the parameters of the field and in training fellows. Dr. Stieg is Board Certified in Neurology and Pain Medicine, holds a Specialty Certificate in Addiction Medicine, and is a Level II physician with the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation. He maintains his own private practice, LoDo Pain and Headache Clinic, in addition to his work with Centennial Rehabilitation.
Kathy McCranie, M.D.
Pain Medicine Physician/Physiatrist
Dr. McCranie’s practice interests are concentrated in the areas of occupational injuries and Pain Medicine. She is Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and in Pain Medicine, and served on the Task Force that developed the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation’s Treatment Guidelines for Chronic Pain and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. She continues to serve the Division as an instructor for Level II physicians on those topics, and is a Level II Physician herself with the Division of Workers’ Compensation.
Barbara Laskowski, M.Ed.
Clinical Director/Rehabilitation Counselor
Ms. Laskowski is the founder and Clinical Director of Centennial Rehabilitation, and was instrumental in the program development of the services we offer. Coming from a vocational rehabilitation background, Ms. Laskowski has long preached that medical care and rehabilitation need to be practical, in that the outcomes they generate need to relate in a meaningful fashion to the world of work and home life in which a patient exisits. It is in the fulfillment of this goal that Centennial has moved from a medical model provider of services to a more wholistic approach.
Dennis Boyd, M.A., M.P.A.
Executive Director
Mr. Boyd is director of operations and as such has responsibility for all the non-clinical management activities of Centennial Rehabilitation. He has been with the company since 1983, and has overseen its development from, quite literally, a mom and pop vendor of case management and vocational rehabilitation services to the unique niche it holds today as a specialty provider of interdisciplinary services.
Kristin Mason, M.D.
Physiatrist
Dr. Mason is a Board Certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician and is also Board Certified in Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Her specialty interests lie in the areas of occupational injuries, Pain Medicine, and Traumatic Brain Injury. Her past positions have included Medical Directorships at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and at Colorado’s North Suburban Medical Center’s Rehabilitation Services. Dr. Mason is a Level II physician with the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation and a partner in Rehabilitation Associates of Colorado.
William Boyd, Ph.D.
Neuropsychologist
Dr. Boyd is one of only a handful of Colorado’s Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologists. His professional history prior to joining Centennial Rehabilitation includes various private practice, inpatient rehabilitation and educational positions. Dr. Boyd’s practice interests lie in the areas of Traumatic Brain Injury, Chronic Pain, and Health Psychology in general, with special expertise in the area of neuropsychological and psychological testing.
Robert Kleinman, M.D.
Psychiatrist
Dr. Kleinman is a Board Certifed Psychiatrist, who also holds Board Certifications in the Psychiatric subfields of Adolescence, Forensics, and Addiction. He is a Level II Physician with the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation. Dr. Kleinman received his Medical Degree from the State University of New York, Brooklyn, and has held positions in private practice, and at West Pines Psychiatric Hospital, the US Department of Energy and Colorado State Hospital.

Fran Tafuro, R.N., CRRN, CDMS
Nursing Director
Ms. Tafuro is the Program Coordinator for our Pain Medicine Center and brings to the position a number of years of experience in nurse case management and in pain program development. Prior to joining Centennial Ms. Tafuro owned her own case management business where she specialized in occupational injury and long term disability case management.
Andrea Hause, M.A., L.P.C., BCIAC
Rehabilitation Counselor/Program Coordinator/Certified Biofeedback Technician
In addition to providing rehabilitation and biofeedback services to patients, Ms. Hause is responsible for the overall program coordination of our Pain Wellnes and Head Injury Rehabilitation programs. She is a graduate of Michigan State University where she obtained both her undergraduate and graduate degrees and recently celebrated (we hope) her 25th anniversary here at Centennial Rehabilitation.
Roger Ryan, M.S., CRC, CVE, CCM
Rehabilitation Counselor
Mr. Ryan is a 24 year veteran at Centennial Rehabilitation, and specializes in forensic vocational evaluation in the field of occupational injuries. He is a certified Vocational Evaluator, a certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Certified Case Manager. Mr. Ryan obtained his graduate and masters’ degrees from the University of Wisconsin.
Sara Nowotny, M.A., CRC, CCM
Rehabilitation Counselor
Ms. Nowotny is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Certified Case Manager specializing in Vocational Evaluation for occupational injuries and disability claims. A significant part of her work also includes consulting to employers and insurance carriers on work site modifications to enable injured workers to return to employment. Ms. Nowotny is a graduate of the University of Colorado and Metro State College.
Linda McVey
Account Representative
Ms. McVey is responsible for marketing Centennial’s services to physicians, employers and insurance carriers in the area of occupational medicine and workers’ compensation insurance. Her prior experience as a practice and operations manager for several multi site medical practices gives her special insight into practice concerns. Ms. McVey is also a licensed insurance agent, giving her another level of insight into carrier and employer issues.
Audrey Shuss, B.A., CTRS
Recreational Therapist
Ms. Shuss is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist who works with our pain patients in activities of daily living, and recreational and vocational activities relevant to their treatment. She is a graduate of the University of South Dakota, where she was an NCAA award winner in swimming , and is currently a nationally ranked competitive swimmer.
Kelly Kapp, BA
Exercise Physiologist
Ms. Kapp works with pain and head injury patients in the vital roles of body mechanics, endurance building, and the development of exercise programs that further treatment goals and can serve as a basis for ongoing physical maintenance post treatment. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a degree in Integrative Physiology.
Catherine Waters
Outreach Coordinator, Pain Wellness Program
Ms. Waters’ serves as the liaison between our Pain Wellness Program and outside primary care physicians and other affiliated treatment resources, including addiction facilities, in the community. Her prior experience in serving in the same capacity in the local addictions community provided her with in-depth knowledge of of these as well as an awareness of the role that chronic pain plays in chemical dependency.
